UK whistleblower in military custody

A UK Royal Navy whistleblower who went on the run after reporting a catalogue of security failings at the Trident nuclear base has handed himself in to police.
Able Seaman William McNeilly had released an 18-page report online saying the Vanguard-class submarines that carry Britain's Trident missiles were “a disaster waiting to happen.”
A Royal Navy spokeswoman said McNeilly was stopped on Monday night at Edinburgh airport, and is now being detained by Royal Navy police at a military base in Scotland.
His case has once again raised deep concerns among experts on the security of the Trident nuclear boats. Many have praised him for the recent revelations.
