Saudis swear allegiance to king Salman
Thousands of Saudis flocked to swear allegiance today to the newly-appointed king Salman of Saudi Arabia.
Salman Bin Abdulaziz comes to power as his bigger brother, the late king Abdullah was reported dead earlier on Friday after a severe struggle with disease.
Saudis also swore allegiance to prince Mokren Bin Abdulaziz as the Saudi crown prince and to prince Mohamed Bin Naeyef as deputy crown prince.
The Saudi Grand Mufti gave a speech in which he declared allegiance to the new king.
