PM: Egypt can export gas by 2020

Egypt has a well-defined future energy strategy that will make it by 2020, or even before, a gas exporting country with the new explorations, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has been following up the energy file and held more than five meetings to review electricity, gas and petrochemical industries projects, Mahlab said during a tour of Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco) in Beheira’s Idko city on Monday 6/4/2015.
The Petroleum Ministry has inked some 50 agreements for energy exploration, he said.
Mahlab then inspected a third-generation rig operating for Burullus Gas Company in the Mediterranean Sea.
