Amr Salama praises ‘Omar’
The Egyptian filmmaker, Amr Salama, praised the Palestinian movie Omar that reveals Palestinian – Israeli conflict and presents the sufferings of Palestinians who have everyday dealing with Israelis.
He advised audience to watch the movie as it is inexpensive.
“ Today, I watched “ Omar” by the Palestinian director Hani Abo Asa’ad, “ he said on Facebook.
“ It is enjoyable, skillfully written and professionally made. Omar’s character’s make-up and his choices are the best. It is advisable to watch the movie as it is inexpensive, simply produced and music- free. ” , he added.
“ The only negative point about the movie is that it parallels his movie “ Paradise Now”. I hope to watch him releasing another movie not dealing with the drama of occupation”, he said.
The movie pursues the life of a Palestinian baker called Omar who finds himself obliged to take hard decisions after killing an Israeli soldier and being subject to numerous pressures to be recruited by Israeli intelligence .
