Google celebrates Labour Day with a doodle
Google marked the Labour Day aka May Day with a neat looking doodle.
The day is celebrated to honour the working class of the society. Google is doing its part by reminding people of the day that is believed to have triggered major labour movements. The day is also marked as the International Workers' Day.
The Google doodle incorporated an image of a clamp, a pair of gloves tape rolls and a measuring tape to form the logo of the search engine.
In India, the Labour Day was first celebrated in 1923 in Madras by the Labour Kisan Party.
It is treated as a public holiday in the country along with 80 other countries like Nepal, Pakistan, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Bangladesh, China and Philippines.
