Premier League goals inch to 900 for the first time in history

Goals in the Premier League Championship ( PLC) rose to 887 ones, following yesterday matches. Total of goals in the PLC continues to breaks the record in a single season.

This number of goals is the largest in any league in one season throughout history, from its inception in 1948.

The largest precedent number of goals in one season is 840, which were recorded over 1963- 1964 season.

It is worth to mention that 7 matches are still remaining in the Premier League this season. Outcome of those matches will contribute to increasing the number of goals to exceed beyond of 900 goals, a figure that will be difficult to break down in the future.
